One of the things that has been on my to-do list was to add a theme that allowed folks with mobile devices to view our blog without having to worry about all of the fancy flash and java script messing things up in their mobile browsers. Well, I believe it’s done. Although, like the main site there are still little items that I need/want to fix or change the functionality is there. There’s no need to go to a special URL, it just works. Give it a shot, try it out and let us know what you think! Simply take your mobile device, whatever that may be and go to http://www.mattpeacockphotography.com/blog

February 5, 2010Teen Birthday Glamor Shoot
February 5, 2010We had so much fun with this one. The girls started off not really sure about the camera but you could tell that after a while they weren’t too worried about it and just had a good time. It was a birthday present for a 13 year old and we gathered wigs and props for a few weeks before and when it was all said and done they used almost all of them.

Blog’s Fixed
February 5, 2010Yay! Did a TON of digging and optimizing code. Everything, java, php, css, html all of it. Finally got most of everything fixed and working the way it should. There are still a few tiny issues in the background that I need to work on. Mainly stuff that most of you won’t notice but I know it’s there so I have to fix it.
One thing to note, the header images that are cycling…if you can’t see them let me know. Chances are you are running Firefox as your browser in which case you need to insure that you are running the most recent version.
Blog Issues
February 4, 2010I was made aware of some issues with the blog the other day and I have been feverishly working trying to get them fixed. Needless to say if you are using pretty much any version Internet Explorer you are not going to be seeing this. At least not right now because there apparently is an issue with the way the IE is parsing this web page. Now, if you are using Firefox or Chrome or Safari you’re golden. Since I primarily use Firefox and Chrome on a Mac I didn’t immediately notice the issue with IE until someone brought it to my attention. So, while I was digging around I noticed another issue. On some PC’s there is an issue with Java in which the flash header is blocking the drop-down menu items. Again, on a Mac none of these issues show up so it wasn’t immediately apparent. Hopefully I’ll have it fixed soon. Or, everyone can run out and buy a Mac and I won’t have to worry about it, right? :p

It’s always nice…
January 22, 2010It’s always awesome when we get feed back like this from our clients:
“We LOVE the wedding pictures. You and Matt truly have a gift. You captured the perfect pictures from that day, and I can’t wait to show them to family and friends for the rest of our lives. Thank you so much. We have had numerous guests tell us how wonderful the pictures are. I’m so glad you captured not only our emotions, but also how beautiful the church looked and how much fun everyone had. You two are great, and I know we’ll be coming to you for family photos one day!”
Alicia & Kendall
January 9, 2010When we first met with Alicia & Kendall we knew that the wedding was going to be fun. Not only that we weren’t even one month into 2009 and we were already looking at booking our first wedding for 2010! When it came time we were really excited to be able to shoot at the Holy Trinity Catholic Church. It is a gorgeous old Catholic church on Oak Lawn. To top it off we were going to be shooting the reception at the Magnolia Hotel, well across the street really in the historic building that houses the Magnolia’s Pegasus Ballroom. Of course the weather was great, although it got pretty cold by the time the reception rolled around. All in all it was a great wedding to top off the end of 2009 and the beginning of 2010!

The slideshow of the wedding can be seen here.
