Mobile Ready

One of the things that has been on my to-do list was to add a theme that allowed folks with mobile devices to view our blog without having to worry about all of the fancy flash and java script messing things up in their mobile browsers. Well, I believe it’s done. Although, like the main site there are still little items that I need/want to fix or change the functionality is there. There’s no need to go to a special URL, it just works. Give it a shot, try it out and let us know what you think! Blog’s Fixed

Yay! Did a TON of digging and optimizing code. Everything, java, php, css, html all of it. Finally got most of everything fixed and working the way it should. There are still a few tiny issues in the background that I need to work on. Mainly stuff that most of you won’t notice but I know it’s there so I have to fix it.

One thing to note, the header images that are cycling…if you can’t see them let me know. Chances are you are running Firefox as your browser in which case you need to insure that you are running the most recent version.

Blog Issues

I was made aware of some issues with the blog the other day and I have been feverishly working trying to get them fixed. Needless to say if you are using pretty much any version Internet Explorer you are not going to be seeing this. At least not right now because there apparently is an issue with the way the IE is parsing this web page. Now, if you are using Firefox or Chrome or Safari you’re golden. Since I primarily use Firefox and Chrome on a Mac I didn’t immediately notice the issue with IE until someone brought it to my attention. So, while I was digging around I noticed another issue. On some PC’s there is an issue with Java in which the flash header is blocking the drop-down menu items. Again, on a Mac none of these issues show up so it wasn’t immediately apparent. Hopefully I’ll have it fixed soon. Or, everyone can run out and buy a Mac and I won’t have to worry about it, right? :p

We did it! The new site is alive. Go have a look, browse around, enjoy the scenery. When you’re done subscribe to the newsletter on the contact page to keep up with all the good stuff that’s going on around here. Once you’ve done that you can shoot us an email @ info@mattpeacockphotography.com and schedule your portrait session or your wedding or just shoot the breeze.

A little history behind the change and what all went into it….

As we readied ourselves to celebrate the new year we decided that we needed a fresh start. A few ideas popped into our heads and over the next few days we tossed around a few more ideas. One thing was for certain, we needed a new website. Something bigger, better and more inviting…something “fresh.” Once we had that decision made we realized that we needed to update our client proofing as well. Ok, why stop there? Let’s update the blog with a new look too! Now we got a little excited and crazy (which is pretty common for us) and the cherry on top was a new logo to go with our new, “fresh”, everything else.

Now that we’re ‘live’ I’m sure the crew will enjoy having a little time back with Mommy & Daddy. Not to mention that we’ll enjoy being able to go to bed at a somewhat decent hour. Oh and we’ll get some good time behind the lens’ instead of behind the lcd screens!

With that… raise your glass and have a toast! Cheers!

The clock is ticking and we are feverishly working on the new website. We published our Facebook page today and we are excited to be rolling out our new look on the 20th!

The new website launch is coming quick! Bits and pieces have been coming together as you might have seen here. You’ll notice our new branding which has already gone into place here on the blog. We are very excited about moving into 2009 and excited to show you everything that we have been working on from last year through the new year.

We have already started booking weddings & portraits for this year. Valentine’s portrait sessions will be filling up soon so make sure you call or email to schedule yours today. Once the new website is live you will still have the ability to book your date via our online calendar.
