Summer

Summer was a cutie. She was constantly moving and had some of the greatest expressions.

Jennifer & Kyle

This was another LDS wedding so we didn’t get to shoot the ceremony. However, the group after the ceremony and the reception more than made up for it. This was a great bunch and Jennifer & Kyle make such a cute couple. I had a ton of fun and met some really awesome people.

This family shoot was a lot of fun and also a source of pride. Michael is a US Marine just back from Iraq and him and his wife and daughter are being stationed in Norfolk so they have to pack up and move very soon. This was the last chance we had to get a shoot in with the entire family.

Photo of the Month

September 9, 2008

This month’s photo comes from Ashley & Jacob’s wedding. This was an image I got right before everyone headed to the reception. It stuck in my mind and I think the combination of the colors combined with the subtlety of the bride and groom being beyond focus in the background made for a striking, memorable image.

We’ve done a few LDS weddings and for a non-Mormon photographer it requires a little bit of working outside the box, literally. Since I am not Mormon I can not enter the temple so my shooting actually starts after the ceremony. It’s more like shooting the smaller, intimate weddings just with a larger (and shorter) reception. Don’t get me wrong, it’s a lot of fun and these two were a blast.

Even though we weren’t going to be able to shoot Elizabeth & Greg’s wedding we were able to do their engagement shots. What fun, we started at the head of the line for the historic McKinney Avenue Trolly and rode it all the way downtown, did some shooting around the Dallas Museum of Art and then rode back shooting the entire time. We had a blast.
