When we first met this couple we knew that their wedding was going to be a lot of fun. Not only was it a lot of fun and we had such a great time and we met so many cool people. Both of them, their families and their friends were awesome to work with!

Shannon & Brett
August 18, 2007Shannon’s Bridals
August 18, 2007Ok, so you didn’t see this post before? Why? Because it wasn’t here. Since these were Shannon’s bridal portraits we couldn’t have Brett having an early peek at his beautiful bride now could we?
We did Shannon’s bridals on July 28th at the Arboretum and it was a little bit warmer than we had hoped. Despite the spike in the mercury the day was perfect. Clear skies, and good clouds for some of the shots and we didn’t have to fight for too many spots. Shannon’s sister Heather was awesome and being a photographer herself brought a ton of great ideas. Some of the great shots are due to her inspiration. Thanks Heather!
Christopher & Kristen – Engagement Party
August 17, 2007Since Christopher and Kristen will be having a destination wedding that not everyone will be able to attend the family had a party for all of their local friends and family. They had it at a cool little winery in Lakewood called Times Ten Cellars. We had a lot of fun and this location is definitely going into our list of favorites. For as long as we lived and have been visiting the Lakewood area I had not heard about Times Ten until this event. When you walk in you are greeted by a huge glass wall that looks into the Barrel Room. Christopher & Kristen’s families had decorated the tables with glass vases filled with water and live fish. Very cool!
Christopher & Kristen – Engagement Portraits
August 12, 2007These two opted for having White Rock Lake as the background for their engagement shots. Not only that but we did it right before sunset so we were presented with some amazing opportunities for great shots. It’s always hard to pick only a few to post on the blog. An awesome couple to work with, these two are very photogenic which makes my job as the photographer that much easier. 🙂
Stacey & Troy
August 11, 2007This wedding was a lot of fun. The ceremony was in an old historical Catholic church in Terrell and the reception followed at Chandler’s Landing on Lake Ray Hubbard. Although we did not find out the details until later in the evening we were told that the reception site (as well as the entire subdivision) had lost power. The power was still off when guests began arriving at the reception. Thankfully it came back on shortly before the bride and groom arrived and the staff placed fans close to the air conditioning vents to help cool things down. One very unique departure for this couple was that instead of pulling away in a limo or classic car, they sailed away in a sailboat!
