This month’s photo comes from Kim & Ryan’s wedding at the Tribute Golf Club in The Colony. One of the things that made this wedding so much fun was the people that were there. This image comes from mixing a couple of drinks, the wedding party, a golf cart and free reign of the course. What you don’t see in this shot is the two of us photographers that rode on the sides of this golf cart hanging on like secret service agents with cameras. Like I said…we had a BLAST! 😀
This month’s photo comes from Ashley & Jacob’s wedding. This was an image I got right before everyone headed to the reception. It stuck in my mind and I think the combination of the colors combined with the subtlety of the bride and groom being beyond focus in the background made for a striking, memorable image.
There were actually quite a few good candidates for photo of the month this month. This one stood out though. Every time I ran across it either in the blog or while going through our image library it would make me laugh. It’s not often I get shots like this where the guest at a wedding is being goofy AND looking at the photographer at the same time. It’s all good!
This month’s Photo of the Month comes in the form of two little pirates that had a pirate birthday party, complete with hidden treasures, treasure maps and a scavenger hunt! Super Fun!
This month’s Photo of the Month was a hands down winner. It comes from Rebecca’s bridal session that we did in downtown Grapevine. Here’s the back-story, when we pulled up to this one spot there were a group of guys that had their Harley’s parked close to where we were going to shoot. There was also a classic car. While shooting with the classic car we thought it would be cool to see if the guys would mind us using their Harleys as a backdrop as well. Not only did they say ok they said, “Sit on it!” So Rebecca did. Some of the best photographic moments come out of unplanned, unposed situations like these. The group of guys were awesome for letting us borrow their rides and Rebecca was the perfect model for the situation. Her looks and fun loving, do anything attitude made it work, and work very well.
I pulled this month’s PotM from Kari’s bridal shoot that we did at the Hickory Street Annex. When I was going through and doing the post processing it just kept coming back to me. I’m not sure if it’s how she’s posed or if it’s the combination of the subtle colors or the composition. I just like it.
There was not a lot to choose from session-wise this month since we took most of the month off. This one image however stood out from the Dillard Easter celebration. You just can’t help but laugh at these three.
