Official Snow Day

February 12, 2010

I guess I really wasn’t surprised when the district announced last night that all of the schools would be closed today due to inclimate weather. I woke up well before sunrise this morning and couldn’t wait for the sun to come up just enough to give me decent light to see what the additional snowfall overnight had brought. The yard which was a mess after yesterday’s snowball fights, snowman building and general horsing around was all fresh and new. In other areas snow like this wouldn’t be much to talk about but for Texas, this is substantial. Last night the single day’s snowfall record was broken and from what I understand I don’t believe we have ever seen this much. We are enjoying it while we can!!

Night Shots in the Snow

February 12, 2010

I took the opportunity to take advantage of the combination of the low cloud cover and the snow to get some good night shots. These were all taken around 10:30 PM last night with exposures from between 1 second to 7 seconds. Lots of fun!

Let it snow

February 11, 2010

According to local news D/FW International airport has received 9.5 inches of snow at 9pm. That’s blizzard weather by Dallas standards. These were taken this morning, about thirty minutes after the snow had started. I can’t wait to see what it is going to look like tomorrow morning!!

Melanie’s Bridals

November 27, 2009

Without a doubt, we always have so much fun with bridals. We always allow AT LEAST twice as much time for our bridal sessions than we do for our portrait sessions. Not only because it’s a little more difficult to move around in a wedding dress but also we end up running across awesome locations to shoot. This time we have to express our extreme gratitude to Keller Williams Realty in McKinney for the impromptu use of their amazing and beautiful Adriatica office as one of our backdrops!

Kari & Rodney

April 26, 2008

This was a great wedding and we had lots of fun. We shot Kari & Rodney’s engagements here and we couldn’t wait to shoot the wedding here as well. A word to the wise…when you get as many sparklers in one place as they had for their exit…things get hot, very HOT. 🙂
